Well it is sort of obvious. He was calling for the UNSC to draft a resolution calling for an immediate end to the violence when it is blatantly obvious that Russia would veto such a resolution. There is no point in even bothering, it serves no purpose even as a symbolic measure. Everyone knows the outcome a priori. The man didn't know.

a) We have no timeline although there are "aspirational" targets which are totally appropriate.
b) I don't know if you got the memo or not, but the US started talking to LIBYA AFTER they gave up their nuclear weapons programs and the US had airlifted components, physically REMOVING them from Libya. That's the way it is done.
c) As to Iran, last time I checked Bush has not met with Iranian officials, with or without preconditions, which this idiot Obama said he would do. Furthermore, there is no evidence our government is "talking" with Iran at all. I do think we listened to what they had to say. Nothing wrong with that -- but you don't send a president to do it.

Sure, and there was never any doubt we needed to do so -- but it was judged by the military brass that we should deal with Iraq first, and that was the correct decision, obviously.

Obama showed bad judgment to oppose the war in Iraq. EVERY COMPETENT INDIVIDUAL WHO LOOKED AT THE AVAILABLE INTELLIGENCE SUPPORTED THE WAR. EVERY LAST ONE. Obama was wrong, and exercised poor judgment. As it turned out some of the intelligence was wrong. Obama didn't know that.
