I also find Palin's remark that our "troops are being sent to Iraq to accomplish a mission from God" as very disturbing.

I responded that she didn't actually say they were being sent to accomplish a mission from God, but that she hoped that the mission was of God and that that is what should be prayed for. Gibson represented it incorrectly, as you did in this post.

I was just trying to explain that there is a distinction.
