He said that experienced lawyers, when faced with a rookie opponent, will often let loose a small mouse (figuratively speaking) for the rookie to chase up and down. Something unimportant to distract the rookie and waste his or her time. By this reading, is Sarah Palin the 'mouse', distracting Obama from his focus on John McCain?
