gongoman, I believe, "I do not believe the bad trading times are over yet" The lows were somewhat retested, on little volume, not really with conviction. Therefore they will be retested. I do suspect that those July bottoms will hold. The Percent Bears above 50% and holding about the same as July 2008 I believe "a positive major catalyst is needed to turn the markets." It may take months for this to come. Meanwhile i have suggested that "many should stay away from this market, they should not attempt to trade this market." The good news is many have quit trading this market. i find even DayTrading is tough these days. My target is +$200 each and every day. That can be real work in these "flippant and vulgar trading days" to quote myself. i must have my finger on the button all the 2 or 3 hours i trade. (This is a lower target than i used in many of the past trading experience periods.)
