The Republicans brought this on themselves, by making such a big splash with Palin when she has had no experience in foreign policy, had never been outside of North America until the recent troop trip, and who claimed some experience by the 'virtue' of being geographically close to Russia. Her first exposure to simple foreign policy questions was disturbing, considering her recent tutoring in preparation. She needs to do much better by debate time to win back the middle of the road voters she's losing. Daily Gallup shows her 'surge' is shrinking.
