you know, at this point I am happy to have any party in power that shows they can let 1 month go by WITHOUT adding another huge pork boondoggle to do the deficit, in the tradition of the "dept of homeland security" or the "medicare part D" program, or ethanol.

Republicans spent almost 6 trillion dollars in first 6 years past 2000. Amazing I don't think it is possible to spend any more money than they did, on so many **must have** initiatives, like,

The federal agency has doled out $63million since 2004 to train truckers on how to spot a terrorist on the road or at a rest stop, including $16 million it plans to spend this year on the program known as "highway watch,"
