New state polls continue to show movement to McCain
in battleground states; below is the latest map from
FiveThirtyEight.com and the map from Sep 10 for
comparison.

What has changed between Sep 10 and today?

1) The red in FL, VA, and OH got redder.
2) The blue in PA and NM became fainter.

The mathematical model employed by FiveThrityEight.com now has McCain winning 57% of the 10,000 simulation runs. In other words, according to this model McCain would be a 57/43 favorite to win the election if it were held today.

LEGEND:
Red=McCain ahead
Blue=Obama ahead

Color saturation shows magnitude
of a candidate’s lead in a given state.
