The position that the proponents of life took originally was appropriate in the early stages of the debate.

Now that the scientific research in stem cells has found that there are stem cells in one's own body that can be used rather than harvesting stem cells from aborted children-----VP Candidate Palin has the high road.

As you noted------

"Palin gave the best answer they have. "Other cells can now be used for the same research.""

There is a company in Pennsylvania that is now growing bladders----a documentary was shown about 6 months ago interviewing those who grow the bladders from the person's own cells and several people who had or were having the procedure done and showing how the bladders are grown.

When the medical profession can do this with a person's own cells the argument for aborting and harvesting stem cells from the aborted becomes muted.
