The Pakistan government never had any control whatsoever in the remote northern border areas. The government has to feign concern when the ballistic intrusions show up on the news. That helps them with their National identity and convinces the southern people they won't be invaded. The Pakistan military has made some incursions into that very area themselves leaving hundreds dead. Didn't Obama say he would bomb Pakistan? Buddy probably forgot that. Plus, I doubt that the feds of that country have much more control of that region than we do the south side of Chicago, parts of Miami and so on.
