Yup! I had a horrible experience in Italy when I rented a car. The hoses at the gas station fit all cars, unlike in the U.S. And I put the wrong kind of fuel in the car. Made it about 10 miles before the car stalled out! :-) Duh...call me knucklehead. I felt like a fool.... Deisel cars in Europe are so quiet, you can't tell the difference. That's my only defense...
