bloomberg.com Don't see how they can know the ramifications of letting this fail. This is going to be quite a week. There must be some toxic sludge in there that nobody can fix because a outright failure must have been the last outcome that they would have wanted. Is this going to be the big one and does gold go the other way? IMO it depends totally on what side of the commodity market the counterparty defaults are on. We should find out in a few hours. Interesting that GS picked Friday to tell all clients to cover their gold shorts. They may need new shorts if they didn't.
