I think it's somewhat ironic that one day after I lament over the design of the Syquest Web Page, that they unveil their new one. My reviews of it?
Well, let's see. It's not exactly a screaming eye-catcher, and it's not goofy/friendly/common trash like Iomega's. Syquest's strategy is evidently a little more upscale than that. Iomega's advertising aims to the low end of the market to hock their junky, unreliable, oft-delayed and recalled products. Syquest's new breakthroughs, SparQ and ROCKET, are aimed at the higher end with multiple times more capacity than anything Iomega has.
Their isn't a whole lot of new information on the new web page yet, although I expect they are holding out for Comdex to rollout their new drives. One strategy I feel they should bring to bear is to highlight the fact that this is "The New Syquest" complete with brand-new, aggressive management.
