The Cover they tricked McCain into posing for. The Usual Scum By Bill Quick on Assholes Ms. Greenberg may well have her opinions and is welcome to them. But to use the offices, reputation, and money of The Atlantic Monthly to fool and ridicule a United States Senator and candidate for President goes well beyond unprofessional conduct and into the area of fraud. I doubt if the Atlantic's editorial staff is outraged at all. Oh, sure, they'll probably pretend to be, but away from the public eye and ear, they'll all laugh at the hilarious prank their gal-pal photogger played on the stupid, evil Rethuglican. No, after decades of naked partisanship, they don't deserve any benefit of doubt, any pass for "honest mistake," or any other cut of slack. And I'm not giving them any.
