Greenspan flooded the market with too much liquidity for too long. Hedge funds grew at an alarming rate! Borrowing was the name of the game for all the hedge funds and investment banks.

Greenspan is and always was just an empty suit with a lot of words. The Fed should have been watching more closely during his tenure.
