NEW YORK, Sep 15, 2008 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) announced today the results of the quarterly reranking of the NASDAQ Q-50 Index(sm) (Nasdaq:NXTQ), which will become effective with the market open on Monday, September 22, 2008.

The following twelve securities will be added to the Index: Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq:ALXN), Central European Distribution Corporation (Nasdaq:CEDC), Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR), Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENER), First Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq:FSLR), Myriad Genetics, Inc. (Nasdaq:MYGN), OSI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq:OSIP), Scientific Games Corporation (Nasdaq:SGMS), Sohu.com Inc. (Nasdaq:SOHU), Strayer Education, Inc. (Nasdaq:STRA), Warner Chilcott Limited (Nasdaq:WCRX), and Woodward Governor Company (Nasdaq:WGOV).

The Index is designed to track the performance of the 50 securities that are next in line to replace the securities currently included in the NASDAQ-100 Index(r).
