Mickey Kaus at Slate does a good job today explaining to the Dems why whining about McCain's "lies" is such a loser for them. In a nutshell, voters think Dems are weak to begin with so they look like wusses when they whine. Mickey suggests they get over it and deal with it as it lays.

Of course, everything was perfectly fair when Obama accused McCain of wanted to fight the Iraq War for another 100 years. They can dish it out but they can't take it.

Come to think of it, perhaps this is one angle where MSM press coverage does not advantage the Dems. Of course, they's trying to help, but as with Palinoia (h/t Jim Treacher), it's boomeranging.
