I don't know if I'd go as far as calling Carter the worst president in American history. Maybe the worst post-WWII president, but LBJ and maybe Nixon would also be possibilities. Perhaps Carter gets "most naive post WWII president" (or maybe even most naive ever". Not stupid, naive. He was an intelligent and educated man, but he didn't know how do do with the hard realities of the world, in particular evil and deceitful people.
