And now that Country John McCain has started channeling Herbert Hoover, those polls will probably move more in Obama's favor. What have the Republicans been smoking when they claim that this economic crisis is not their fault? A fundamental plank of the Republican platform is deregulation of vital industries: energy, financial institutions, even education. All of these 'theories' have now been debunked. Republicans, news flash: corporations will act in their own self interest. If left to their own devices, they WILL screw whomever they need to - including the American people - to make a profit. That's why regulation was needed after the first Great Depression, and must be restored now.
