We don't get hurricanes south of the tropics (90% of Australian population lives south of the Tropic of Capricorn) here in the southern hemisphere. In Sydney water supply is now pretty much OK. We are still in a significant deficit here in Canberra in the mountains but recently getting some good rain. A lot to catch up though. Lehman bankruptcy filing: thedeal.com Debt hugely concentrated with Citibank and Bank of New York Mellon. About equal to Citibank's book value. I suppose they'll get something back on the dollar though?
