IMHO, it is a great misconception to say that QM means things are unknowable. We can know the predictions and outcomes of QM processes with great precision, its just that the language and metrics are statistical.
The utility of faith is that it greatly assists us through our darkest hours, when the evidence says the outcome is hopeless, but we keep fighting for the goal. Look at the great stories and the great movies that people cherish. A few, a very few, celebrate rationality and logic. The vast bulk of them are about two other traits: Love and Faith, or in many cases, the two together.
IMO, when you try to provide a rational connection for faith, you are in fact undermining it. When you have knowledge and facts lined up, it is not faith that motivates you, it is simply understanding, or perhaps prudence, or expediency, or some other such word that covers the situation. |
