Is that what you are referring to as being top of the heap?

No. We are on the top of the heap because:

1. We have the best Constitution in the world. For US, not necessarily for anyone else.

2. We have copious natural resources

3. We have a two-ocean border.

4. We have peaceful borders with our two neighbors.

5. We have a history of taking care of ourselves, individually and as a nation.

6. We have a history of taking care of others in need, individually and as a nation.

7. We are a Republic.

8. We are peaceable, but formidable when attacked.

9. We are a free people.
