Jul 21, 2008 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- ERGY | Quote | Chart | News | PowerRating -- HONEOYE FALLS, NY-Domestic Energy Corp., (pinksheets, DMEC), announced here today that it has deepened two Tennessee wells successfully.
"We deepened two wells to expose the entire Ft Payne limestone formation, about 20 additional feet of pay," said Larry Hillabrandt, CEO, Domestic Energy Corp. "These wells were dead when we started and we fully expect to put them into production soon as commercial oil and gas wells." "These are not big wells," Hillabrandt warned. "However, based on an expense to revenue basis, this was a very successful program and we expect the same results with the remaining three wells in this initial deepening test.," he added.

"When these wells were drilled in the 1980s, the drillers just barely drilled into the Ft. Payne limestone, the producing zone because, in many cases, the wells came in flowing," he explained. Domestic Energy Corp.

"We felt that the upper portion of the formation was depleted, but we believed that by drilling a few feet deeper, we could expose additional oil and gas reserves. From these early results, we feel we were successful," he noted.

"At today's oil prices, we plan to take every step we can to develop additional oil and gas to meet this nation's energy needs," the oil executive noted.

Domestic Energy Corp. is a publicly-owned oil and gas development and production firm with some oil and gas wells in eastern Tennessee.
