If what I'm reading stands up, that many of McCain's closest friends in the press, Richard Cohen et al, thought The View statements were the straw that did it to the camel's back, then continuing it only drives the point home. I now agree with Galston's point. Obama needs to say precisely and clearly what he wants to do about the economy. He should forget about what McCain does. His campaign can do that, his surrogates can do that, and the revived 527s can do that. He needs to tell the voting populace what he plans. Simply and in memorable phrases.
