I suddenly realized why you like Alan Greenspan so very much. Greenspan has always been such a do-nothing bludger in each of his jobs that it's only natural this should seem like excellence to a New Zealander like yourself. Like the fictional Czechoslovakian hero "Good Soldier Švejk" Alan Greenspan has always been so enthusiastic about faithfully serving his country that no one can decide whether he is merely an imbecile or is craftily undermining his nation's war effort.
