Dollar Forty-Nine Day ... used to be a department store chain on the coast here, Woodward's, had 1.49 Day on tuesdays ... which was about the price of silver at the time, the old g.w.n. dollar having six-tenths of an ounce baked right in Still waiting for Swampy's fifty-dollar day on gold ... too late for that today, it's an eighty-eight fifty, oh well, maybe next week
