Automation Research Corporation: Year 2000 Mailing List

In speaking to some of you recently at the ISA show, other forums, and even over the phone, one aspect has been repeated among many regarding Y2K: The concern over liability is a concern among suppliers and supply chain partners. People are a little leary of posting information because it creates a paper trail back to them in case of future litigation. Does this seem to be the case? Maybe those in the legal profession can comment as well.

If you would like to anonymously post something to the list but don't want your name attached, please email me at: bthompson@arcweb.com - and I can sanitize it to remove your name from it and then send it on to the list. Obviously, the more concrete the information, the better. This has worked well with other ARC activities.

People I've talked to are looking for specific, real life examples of problems that have been found in Y2K testing, and how the problems were discovered and fixed. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Bill Thompson
