I posted the Yahoo financial news headlines Monday, and each story was about the economy in crisis and, as I said, EACH would be a huge story by itself in normal times. And John McCain has been saying all along that the fundamentals are strong, and has continued to be anti-regulation: Government Steps in Again, Bails Out AIG With $85B- AP WaMu may seek merger as pressure mounts: Merrill- Reuters Oil prices up after crude supplies fall sharply- AP GE falls 10 percent to lowest level since 2003- AP Lehman unloads its banking divisions to Barclays- AP SEC issues rules against abusive short sales- Reuters Hedge funds batten down the hatches in turbulence- Reuters Housing construction drops 6.2 percent to 17-year low- AP Wall St. CEO Poker Tourney: Diamond Trumps Fuld, Thain Suckers Lewis- Tech Ticker Time to throw ALL anti-regulation Republicans out of office. Their party philosophy is what got us into this mess.
