Indeed, the de-leveraging continues apace, but is not anywhere near finished.

I am astonished that anyone is surprised for LTCM was the canary in the mine. Rather than rein in the fools, the damned fools, Greenspan gave them more rope.

Incomprehensible.

All they needed to do was visit the bear threads at SI where it was foretold, prophesied, chicken gutted, tea leafed and made beyond clear. Or, if they didn't believe us, they could have read Buffett's wisdom which I linked here earlier.

I'd like to express my gratitude in public to you for convincing me to get into gold, an investment I once thought was solely for nuts and cranks. It has served me - and my family - well and we are deeply grateful.
