Not invading other countries isn't isolationist. I don't cross the street to interact with the violent acting, yelling nutcases down by the shelter downtown. I see NO need to futz around in Somalia or these places if we're not wanted. If the guy at the shelter that day has his hat out maybe I'll help him out... if Somalia WANT help we'll see what we can do... can we make sure the money is going to education? Educated people KNOW the US has along history of being 'good' (Bush and some other mistakes not withstanding)... ignorant people don't know right from wrong. Just think what a trillion dollars in peace corps money could have done to the standing of the US in the world... not because "HEY, LOOK WHAT WE DID... LOOK AT THE MONEY WE'RE THROWING YOUR WAY"... no because people get EDUCATED. EDUCATED PEOPLE WIll LIKE OTHER GOOD, EDUCATED PEOPLE. dAK
