<..It's probably the most significant accomplishment to be announced this year...> Busy day (how 'bout that NSCP?), and just checking in reading back. A point on this Issue II release out of MOT. I reported here several weeks ago that T1E1.4 Issue II was going out for letter ballot, and that the likelihood of getting approved was purportedly not very high due to significant "holes" remaining in the issue. (This was the opinion of an ALA ADSL engineer, so maybe there is reason to take it with a grain of salt.) But this press release was put out by MOT, and was viewed by a couple other folks in the field that I interact with as, variously, a "puff-piece", and "...the same old sob story that MOT, who does not have a proven product, has been spreading for some time..." Still, eventual DMT interoperability WILL be a boost to the field. It just might (you guessed it) TAKE awhile... Off to lunch (Hi PeterP). (TXN getting interesting) Steve
