"I think we have to really take into account that mccain may be impaired by age." That is possible. But, it is also likely that he just wasn't prepared. Combine that with his record of being totally unable to think on his feet and his inability to realize he is in trouble... Which brings up the issue of being unprepared. He has been unprepared before and Palin certainly was unprepared for the Gibson interview. Interestingly enough, most of these unprepared incidents are in the area of foreign policy. Which is at least somewhat understandable because of its complexity. But FP is supposed to be McCain's hole card...
