So basically you're voting for Obama as a symbol and hoping he will work out.

Even though he has no positive accomplishment you can point to in his past except acts of self-promotion (ie. getting elected to office and writing two books about himself).

Faith based politics. Lets show the world we're not racist by electing a black President. That has to be the argument for Obama. There is no other rationale. There's nothing else to recommend him but the symbolism his skin color gives him.
