Well, we could go back and forth with articles that cast the blame, but the voters know which party is for the deregulation that caused this problem. Republicans such as Phil Gramm have argued and fought for years to deregulate banking and overturn protections such as Glass Steagall. Facilitating corporations to act without due regulation is a mantra of the Republican party. Now, those chickens have come home to roost, and this time, the voters see who caused the problem.
