I said nothing about executing them as an alternative to . They were captured on the battlefield instead of being kiled; fortunately for them, they got the three Islamic squares and a prayer rug. I think your sympathies are misplaced. Would you rather that enemy combatants regroup? All this will stop the minute those people agree to live and let live. They've proven over and over again that they have no intention of that.
