I was not talking about how we got into this mess. That is entirely different story.

What the Fed did yesterday, in coordination with European and Japanese officials, was inject badly needed confidence and stability into the markets and bought us some more time.

It is also heartening to see Republicans & Democrats in Washington working together to solve these market problems. They get it. The whole financial global system is at stake here--and probably our standard of living also.

If we're able to get through this, and the jury is still out on that, we can then dissect how we got here.

For the campaigns--unless they have positive suggestions on how to fix the system--they probably should not start throwing political stones at each other over this. We have to collectively work our way out of the mess, and no matter who wins--that party is going to need the help of the other side in dealing with the legislation to fix the financial system.

So the blame game is not the way to go right now, IMHO.
