You guys have to remember that Paulson et al did everything they could to prevent a bail out both for moral hazard reasons as well as the cost of the bail out to the american taxpayer. Nothing worked and when Morgan Stanley hit $11.70 yesterday, that game ended. We were in the death spiral as everything and that was in place to protect us since the great depression had been tried and failed and it had become evident that the money market funds would start failing as well. Bold action was needed and it was taken and Ted's MS went from $11 to $30 in 18 hours.
