It does according to stats like GDP growth, stock market increases and others.

But I don't put a lot of stock in those stats. As I've pointed out several times now, Republicans have different policies and ideas than other Republicans, and Democrats have different polices and ideas than other Democrats. There isn't one consistent Republican way or Democratic way over the decades. Also very often other factors besides government policy are more important. Then beyond that the data sets are too small to have meaningful conclusions.

For example looking at the stats the best combination is a Democratic president and a GOP congress. Well that happened for only one period and only for 6 years. That's supposed to be some sort of meaningful statistic?

These comparisons are mostly only useful to score partisan political points, they don't really tell us anything meaningful.
