Supply side led to a great period of prosperity in the 80s and 90s No, you confuse a period of borrowing huge sums to be prosperity. It led to the S&L crisis. Prosperity didn't arrive until a pay-as-you-go approach put the country back on firm economic foundation. Since we went back to the borrow and spend approach there was once again an illusion of prosperity, for awhile. TP
