I think obama has the potential to be the transformational leader we need now. He is essentially a conservative man and these right wing nut cases on this thread are anything but. If he wins this election and i think his chances have been improved by this crisis and the wise ass choice of palin now being seen for what it is--a cheap political trick, I think in 2012 he will win a landslide and this will forever remove race as an issue in US politics. I wonder how the GOP will rebuild? How can they compete with the religious right as their base along side the rush nutcases?? Maybe a third party in the mix.
