Well... I am out of here... I hope.

I don't know what's going on out there but I trust none of you folks are running around buying stuff today... Or at least not buying on credit.

I also hope that the unfounded increase in financial stock values is nothing but short covering and not a bunch of Moms & Pops chasing stock on cut rate margin.

All I know is that sooner or later... one way or another... the leverage/credit spigot is going to have to get shut off in the financial sector and people who have spent years buying real companies... for cash... will profit as a result.

Wall Street and easy "trading" credit has been wagging the dog too long. Shorts are... "eating"... their shorts today. Tomorrow everyone with excessive financial leverage/debt is going to have their "liabilities" re-calibrated with or without government assistance. And it won't just be hedge funds with 30 to 1 risk ratios. Somebody is going to have to pay me... and the rest of the "saver" - investors out there... a reasonable return. Make sure you're on the right side of that "trade." <vLg>
