I can imagine Donald F. McGahn II eating his dinner and watching the news, when he almost chokes to death as he watches John McCain call for his resignation. Huh? Remember long ago - yesterday - when McCain said if he were president, he'd fire the head of the SEC? Turns out the president CANT fire the head of the SEC. So, today, John McCain instead called for the resignation of the head of the...FEC. Federal Election Commission, currently headed by Donald F. McGahn II. Poor guy, just sitting there having dinner, wondering "what the hell did I do?" McCain is losing it, quickly. Gaffes, missteps, confusion. This is his 3am moment, and he's failed.
