To my disappointment, it is Barack who has raised the race issue and in an exploitive divisive manner by insisting that people see him as something out of the norm because of his skin color. Early in the campaign that was suggestive and contained some redeemable elements, if the suggestion is that we dismiss that factor as unworthy. If it was a suggestion that we should consider race as a valid factor then the message was unworthy of a presidential candidate. There was some vagueness that left doubt as to how the suggestion should be taken.

However, the recent Spanish adds left no doubt as they were way over the edge and were definitely racist to the extreme, by implying that McCain is responsible for the awful racist and anti immigration commentary presented in the add, which Obama knows full well is a lie. In the short run it has driven the polls in favor of Obama here in Colorado. However, by attaching his authorization, now Obama definitely is in ownership of the racist message. The swelling backlash will be devastating to his campaign, if there is any genuine regard for human justice in this country. If there is no other reason, this and this alone is enough for me to say he deserves to lose this election.
