I queryed Dr Davis and this was his response.

"EECP has some interesting potential.

Think of it as a way of achieving endothelial normalization through use of inflatable pants triggered by the heart's rhythm.

The problem is that it is has only been validated and is only paid for by insurance when you have intractable angina, meaning chest pain that has not responded to procedures or medication.

There are proponents of EECP that have proposed that it might be useful in the earlier stages of coronary disease, but this is anecdotal. I've tried getting this done in a couple of patients, but encountered difficulties in payment by insurers.

We certain have no data re: the effect of EECP on heart scan scores nor on progression/regression."
