Thank God you are OK. I hope your house was not too badly damaged.

A tree falling on a house can do severe damage. A neighbor had her garage harpooned by just part of a tree in another neighbor's yard, half of a forked tree that broke off in a stiff wind.

Even a tree that has not fallen can damage your property. A pine tree next to our driveway is buckling the pavement with a rogue root. That tree is going bye bye if I can get my chain saw started.
