The good thing (I expect) is that the stock manipulators finally went after a firm (MS) with enough political clout to force some relief and an investigation of the issues. I think this blatant stock manipulation may finally be exposed and regulated. If the SEC went overboard in protecting MS, well thats part of the risk the hedge funds (I prefer Russ Winters "pig men" term better) assume when they manipulate stocks for a living. I'm not gonna shed any tears for these criminals. Although there are likely some innocent people caught in the reversal; longs that got tired of being screwed out of their money and decided "if you can't beat them you may as well join them". That is unfortunate. But at some point the SEC needs to provide at least a perception that the interests of investors are being protected. A51
