The trends have nothing to do with the government, but yes,
they are pouring water, all right. We are paying for the mistakes
WAY in the past. There is pretty much nothing that can be
done at this point, we have to go through the mess, clean it
up, and start over fresh. The kind of mess we find ourselves
in will depend on the government actions - they can either
monetize the bad debt (and suffer a drastic dollar drop) or
let it implode (and suffer asset deflation). There will be
a bit of both, although that's not guaranteed. -g-
