I agree with most of this about what happened, but I don't agree that Bush, personally, had a lot to do with it--the NY Times was saying he was trying to get FReddie & Fannie from doing these type of toxic loans. The Bush administration has been in power for 8 years. They have regulatory duty.....that's part of the responsibility of any administration. Instead of enforcing those regulations, they chose to take a laissez-faire approach. I hold Bush and his chronies personally responsible. If I had my druthers, they would be taken out back and given a whupping......until their butts were so red they couldn't sit down for a week.
