I'm with you. I think it would be better to let the whole thing
go down the toilet. They aren't fixing the fundamental problem.
They are just relocating the disaster from the private sector to
the public sector.

The way the Bush administration has always acted is to seize on
disasters in order to force through what would normally be very
unpopular policies that in the end, enrich and empower the few,
at the expense and disenfranchisement of the many.
