Hat tip LB:
The Most Qualified to be President THE DIPLOMAD
First of all, my apologies to all those who have written asking me, "what's up with no blogging?" My job has gotten in the way; as other State, DoD, CIA workers can attest, there are times when you are working on certain things you just can't risk blogging or talking too much for fear of revealing something unintentionally that should not have been revealed. The "project" has ended; I am back home from lengthy travel and feel a little more free to comment. For now, I'll stick to domestic politics, just to be safe.
The Palin pick has been an international sensation -- mostly negative. No surprise that the same Europeans and other foreigners who "love" Obama and wish America ill (often the same people) hate Palin. She is just so, so, so . . . American, and, to make it much worse, just way too happy about it. She is not ashamed of her country or its traditions. Imagine this: she has lived her entire adult life without feeling the need to travel to Paris! How can that be?
Well, friends, it turns out that of the four principal candidates -- McCain, Obama, Biden, and Palin -- the last one, the lady from Alaska is the most qualified to be President. She has the executive experience and governing savvy the others do not have; she has the happy combative spirit the others do not have; she seems absolutely fearless, and unapologetic in her beliefs. She will win or she will lose but she will do it standing up.
I could see her at the Alamo.
Senator Biden, watch out at the debate!
Governor Sarah Palin is the most qualified by a long shot to be President. Let's at least make her Vice President.
