Try buying some bullion and I think you will get a different perspective. Ask a bullion dealer if this market is lethargic. Take a look at what is still available and what is sold out. Tulving was one of the only dealers that used to maintain an inventory of bullion. If we really have a crisis here, I don't think flipping gold stocks or even CEF or GLD will be important for a while.
